  • Small wrinkles
  • Coarse, bumpy looking
  • Dull, "tired-looking" skin

  • Thick uneven skin build-up (plagues)
  • Certain Medical skin conditions

Chemical peels can be used on any area of the body, with the most common areas being the face, back and chest.

The Medium Depth Chemical Peels require a consultation with our Physician to determine the type and depth of the peel. It also allows her to ensure all aspects of your treatment regimen are put in place. There is no charge for this consultation.

How it Works:

Chemical Peels are a non-invasive chemical exfoliation process. The acids used in the Peels target damaged skin cells first. Damaged cells tend to be dried out (vs plump healthy cells) and do not adhere to underlying skin layers the same way that healthy skin cells do – these elements makes damaged cells a target for the acid.

With our Esthetic Chemical Peels, we use natural fruit acids and, or natural milk-product based acids in our peels. These are very gentle types of peels and can be used by almost all skin types and all age groups of clients.

With our Medical Chemical Peels pharmaceutical grade prescription medications are used as peels. The Medical types of Chemical Peels are more intense than the Esthetic Peels and are targeted for clients with more serious medical skin conditions.

For this reason, the type of Chemical Peel (Medical vs Esthetic) as well as the type and concentration of acid as well as the application are and method, is individualized for each client and determined by our Physician personally.

How Does It Work?

During the procedure a chemical solution is used to gently loosen the skin's damaged outer layers so that they may exfoliate naturally. In the case of Acne, harmful bacteria are killed and the painful, swollen cystic lesions shrink and dry out which helps the skin heal faster. After the damaged top layers of skin are removed, the underlying healthy skin is revealed and in the case of Acne the healing of the acneic lesions is accelerated.

 How Long Does It Take?

The procedure takes approximately 40 minutes, Peels are generally administered every two to three weeks, in a series of six treatments.
